Psalmopoeus irminia, also known as the Venezuelan suntiger tarantula, is a species of tarantula endemic to Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. They are unique in their striking black coloration paired with vibrant orange chevron and leg markings. This species can be very defensive when disturbed, yet also has the ability to accelerate from danger very quickly.

House in a tall, well-ventilated enclosure sized for climbing. Maintain temperatures of 76–84°F and humidity at 70–80%. Set up vertical cork bark with cork bark and secure anchor points — this species loves to web and establish a home territory high in the enclosure.
